I finally felt cool

This morning it was raining, but I decided to commute by bicycle anyway. It was the best decision I could have made. I got my exercise and I skipped the traffic. Plus, for the first time in a long time I actually felt cool. It was amazing.

It's Autumn... finally!

I'm so happy today. It's finally cooler. The breeze is from the north. The clouds are in the sky and the sun doesn't turn your skin into a sultana.
I love this.

Wow, it's a hot one.

It's before 10am and the heat stroke weather warning has already been issued. The last few days have been really hot and humid. The forecast looks like it might start to get cooler towards the end of the week, and not before time as far as I'm concerned.

I've had enough of Summer, time for some cool weather with hot coffee and cake... The perfect time of year.

Managing expectations

I'm currently in a time of recovery. I've had a rather large injury and I'm no longer as strong as I was prior that time.
I'm working hard to get back, but time is the biggest thing I need. I am recovering and things are moving in the right direction, but I need to be careful with my expectations.
I want to be further along than I currently am. I don't want to get discouraged, but I also want to be better than I am. It's a delicate balance.

It still feels like Summer

It's still really hot. I'm trying really hard to enjoy this as it will be getting colder and windier as the year progresses. I'm actually looking forward to that.

I was thinking about yesterday, especially the conversation I had about commuting. I ride a bike during my commute. I do it because I really enjoy riding. There seems to be a kind of feeling that you're not supposed to enjoy your commute, but I disagree. Riding for me is freedom as well as exercise. So I'm improving my general health as well as my mental health at the same time. It's a win-win situation for me.

Is there anything you can do to increase your enjoyment of your work commute?
