The return from injury

My return from injury is taking longer than I'd like. It feels like what it would be like to be old and trying to do something you used to do when you were younger. My mind is ready, but the body still doesn't work the way I want. I haven't given up, I'm just going to have to work harder.

It's amazing what you can see close to home

Here's a photo on the border of Tokushima and Kagawa.
I do love going around this state and finding the nicer places. This one is particularly nice on a clear day. You can see all the way to Yashima or out through the Naruto straight. Pure beauty.

It's finally starting....

It's finally starting to get cool, and I love it.
It's that time of year when you can sit down and not sweat like crazy.
Bring on WINTER!!!

I have a real distaste for politics.

I've never really liked politics. I don't believe the world should come down to looking at someones ideas as good or bad just because they're on "your" team. It just doesn't make sense to me.

There's already enough "us and them" in the world. we don't need more.

Am I a country bumpkin?

I have a feeling I may have become one. I spent the long weekend in Osaka and wow, is it an eye opener. It's also the first time I've spent an extended period in the bigger cities, as well as the first time I've driven on the streets outside of the highway and major roads.
I must confess, I didn't enjoy the experience that much. It was way too cosy and close for my comfort.
I've always grown up around mountains. Lived and worked where you can see them. When you are surrounded by buildings, you can't see anything and I'm not so sure I like that.
Give me the country, any day.
