Yesterday, I found there was a largish community for "Human Powered Vehicles." A bicycle is the simplest of these, so I am part of this community even though I didn't realise it. One thing that really grabbed my interest were the velomobiles. These are the bikes and trikes that have fairings. They kind of look like bullets or the front of bullet trains. I think they look amazing, even thought they would be really impractical as a daily ride. I watched plenty of youtube yesterday about these. Oh where did that time go.

The human mind is an amazing and puzzling thing.
In order to get through my latest ordeal, I have latched onto the idea of getting cycling again as my number one goal. I'm back on the bike but I can't let the motivation to get going again go.

I'm back to complaining about the weather forecasters. It wasn't supposed to rain today, but hey, it's raining.
It must be harder to get right that we think... Don't you think? hmmmm
Anyhow, I'm hoping it will stop by the time I head home.

I heard about the dinosaur park a few years ago and we have a bunch of photos over on my-anan.net about it but I'd never really known where it was.
This morning I continued my task of finding roads that I'd never been on before and low and behold, I came across the dinosaur park. It was quite a surprise as it really did feel like it was in the middle of nowhere.
The statues are extremely well done and the road up to the park is stunning. You follow the river and there are small waterfalls at every turn. It was breathtaking.

It's always interesting heading into the mountains after a typhoon. This morning the road was more green than black. There were leaves and sticks all over the road. In some places the water was still running across and along the road.
Still, the view was amazing.
