The new tax system starts today, and just like they did in Australia, they've managed to make it difficult. I had assumed that it was just a wholesale increase from 8 to 10 percent. Turns out, that's not the whole story. Nothing is ever easy or simple when you try to add caveats to these kinds of things and, I do believe, in the end it just makes people more frustrated because the rules make no sense.
