Club Craig
The cold is starting to wear me thin.Yes, I'm trying to be as active as possible during this years winter. I do love winter. However, I've found the last couple of days to be a little hard to bare. I actually turned around earlier that I had planned on Monday morning. I guess I should stop heading into the mountains before dawn in Winter. There was sleet and there was a bit of wind. I do have some rollers that I can use to ride indoors. But, I do find it to be quite boring. I guess I just need to set it up in front of a Television or something. I just really enjoy going out and seeing the scenery pass by. However, have a look at the evening sky. How can this just not be fantastic!!! Have a great day. Getting closer to something concreteI'm getting closer to a set of concrete goals for this year. I'm thinking more in the personal/health area right now, but business and family will be coming soon. I've been challenged to running 2015 kilometers in 2015. It's double the distance I ran last year, but given the amount of time that I had spent with this damn calf injury last year, I have a feeling I can probably do it, or at least give it a good shake. Another of my goals this year was to find more mountains to climb whilst riding. My commute is extremely flat, so I need to go out of my way to find the inclines. I started this on the 2nd of January having climbed Mt Bisan twice and the mountain on the way to Omiko beach in Komatsushima in the same ride. I shall keep looking. I also want to be able to climb up to Kakurinji. I can get half way before the incline just goes crazy. Actually it's my arms more than my legs that hurt, so I guess push-ups are the way to go. This picture is from the top of the west of Bizan from the 2nd of January. Still working on those resolutionsIt's now 5 days into the new year and I still haven't decided on what I really want to achieve as my resolutions. I know I want to do more exercise, and eat healthier, but that's been the same thing every year. I'll give myself a couple of more days and then I'll make the decisions. 2015 is going to be the year. Farewell to 2014So, in my usual Australian way. I'm going to wish you a Happy New Year before it has actually arrived. We do that. I'm hoping you've all had a very prosperous 2014. Lived and loved as much as you could. And here is to the new year. May it bring you all the heath and happiness you desire. A change of lifeWell, the news of the day is my old bicycle has now been taken away. My life is now changed forever. I've used that poor old bike for well past it's designed lifetime. I've loved it, I've hated it... and it's done well by me. But, like most things. It got worn out and needed to be replaced. It started to break too often and the fixes never quite worked for very long. So now, I'm onto a new wave. Riding a new style and maker. It still feels sad for me however. Thank you my old bike. You've done well by me. Have a great day. |
