Things have been sliding awayI haven't written here for a while. I hadn't decided to actively not write, it's just dropped off my radar some what. I'll be back. Hardcore HistoryI'm currently listening to the podcast called "Hardcore History." This podcast follows some of the battles/wars that have occurred in the past. It's quite a sobering listen to hear what has happened and how people were used and what the value of human life was in days gone by. I'm studying about my future, by learning from the past. To Okayama and backSpent the weekend in Okayama City. Family service complete for the week. Next weekend is the 24 hour Charity race so I'll need the brownie points for then. All-in-all, I was a little unimpressed with Okayama City as a tourist destination. There was very little to see and very little to do. The only place I found was the Okayama Castle. The boys weren't that impressed. But, I do like the stone work on the walls. Summer is beating me upIt's been a little while since I've written in this part of my blog. I've had a fair bit going on in the last few months. Most of it has been fantastic. I got visited by some of my family from Australia. I've been living away from Australia for so long, that I really don't feel like it's home anymore. My family is here. I have responsibilities here as well. But, with them coming over, I realized that I'm also quite alone here. There really isn't anyone like me. It can make me down sometimes, but I guess I'm used to it. I don't want people exactly like me, but it's nice to be around people of my own "tribe" sometimes. Thank you Mum, and Grant, for a great few weeks. I'll look forward to seeing you again. Maybe next year. Next on the horizon is the 24 hour charity race at ラジコン天国. Just when you think it's overWe've had 1.5 fabulous days, and now, the rain has returned. Looks like it's like this for at least another 3 days. I woke up early on Sunday to go down to Hiwasa to take photos of Yakuooji... But it's under maintenance now and is covered with scaffolding. Oh well. Have a great day. |
