Club Craig - 2013-5
Waking up feeling somewhat out there.Have you ever woken up in the morning and wondered why your body didn't quite feel like your own? That's kind of how I feel today. I can't quite put my finger on it but things just don't quite seem to be where they should be. I guess I'll just put my head down and charge on anyway. I just hope this feeling goes away. It's quite disconcerning. Anyhow, here's a pic of some of the roses that are blooming in our garden at the moment. It's the "puff" type of rose. Just opens up and keeps opening. :) Until next time. A goal in mind.I was talking with a friend last night about having to do something about my health and weight before it's too late. I haven't really been careful enough with my body over the recent years and I'm starting to be concerned that it's going to have an adverse effect at some point soon. So... We decided that we would both try and run the Tokushima Marathon next year. This poses a really big problem for me. You see, I don't really like running just for the sake of running that much. I'll ride my bike all day, any day. But running I just can't seem to get. I'm going to try though because I have too. I also want to ride but with my schedule being the way that it is, that's getting harder and harder to do. Where as I have a feeling that I'll be able to fit a run in here and there. I'm going to succeed. I must succeed. It starts yesterday, not tomorrow. Until next time.... P.S. The image is probably what I'm going to look like. Sad isn't it? :) Another firstI must admit, today was the first time I'd seen so many of these trucks all in one place. There were hundreds of them there. I can't even imagine how much money there was sitting there. Was a great experience. Until next time... KT8 Racing KartLooks like we'll be able to get a Racing Kart Cup going this Summer here at ラジコン天国. There's 5 of us now and I'm sure there'll be a couple more soon enough. Mine came today, I'll be building it this weekend and trying it out next week. You only live once, you might as well make the most of everyday.... and this is just fun. Until next time... All common sense goes out the window.Yesterday was the offical start of the "Cool Biz" season here in Japan. For those who don't know, "Cool Biz" is a campaign by the government to try to get people to use less energy during the warmer summer months by making it "normal" to be seen without a suit and tie and to have them turn the air conditioners "down" to a warmer temperature to allow more economic running. The idea with clothing is to allow short sleeve shirts without ties. Now I applaud the idea. I think that it's a good idea to get people to dress more appropriately for the Summer months. One would probably say that this kind of campaign really shouldn't have been necessary. Isn't dressing for the season/weather something that we all do as part of common sense? Well no, that's not the way it's done. Yesterday was a very cold day. It's not even 10 degrees in Tokyo and in Northern Japan I believe they still have snow in most places. And yet, public servants around the country were forced to wear short sleeve garments. So here's my take. It's a great idea, but let's keep in mind that the weather doesn't always run by the calendar. Common sense need be applied. So for anyone interested, the wikipedia page on CoolBiz is here. |
