Club Craig - 2013-11
A cold change has arrived.A cold wind has blow into Tokushima. It looks like winter has arrived. Rug up, stay warm, and enjoy the best season of the year! Winter is just around the corner.Even in Autumn there are some really nice flowers that are blooming in Anan. Here is a picture of a one of the roses that are currently in bloom in the garden. This morning I woke early and went for a 2 hour ride on my bicycle. It's such a great time to be up and about. It was a nice ride but I'll need to rethink what clothing I wear from now on. It was a little bit cool. BrrrrThe bottom has dropped out of the thermometer again. I had to break out the winter gloves this morning and I'm very glad that I did. I wasn't so sure about the shoe covers so I left them at home. It was OK to not have them, but if it gets any colder, I'm bringing them out of hibernation. I also had a "monndai nai morning" :) Well, that's my new phrase for when I can ride to work without incident. I haven't been able to do that for a while. Oh, and my yearly odometer to date is only 1421 kilometers. I need to try and improve that somewhat. But I'm also keen on keeping my running going, now that my injury has been mended. There just isn't enough time in the day. Running safelyI've just received this from someone whom knows that I run at night. Due to time constraints, I've chosen to run at night because if I feel like it, I can extend my time running. If I run during the morning, I can't really do that. Now, I'm not sure they're over thinking this, but I've been told to cut this loop, and then reattach it using something that will break should it become hitched on something. The example they game was a scooter. hmmmm I guess it had to have happened for them to think that. Anyhow, my running time will be a little safer from now on. I do carry a light with me, so that's not so bad. But you can never be too careful. Not much to say?Well, it seems that I've had not much to say recently. That's not to say that things haven't been busy. I've been quite engaged in a few projects of different ilks this last month. The first grand project I'm currently on is trying to get my life in order in terms of weight and fitness. Health has been something that I don't normally really think too much about, but I've recently realized that it's something that I really should have been. I've been through a few different phases in my life to now. Fit as a teenager, and then I got quite fat during my university years due to not exercising and eating too much of the wrong kind of foods. I then got fit again thanks for some friends and martial arts. To then get fat again after getting married and having children. Finding the time for exercise was quite difficult and I have no self-control as far as eating goes. Well that's now finished. I'm getting fit again. I've lost 15 kilograms so far and I'm not finished. I have my own goals, I have my own set of rules. There's not stopping me now. |
